Hofjes (Almhouses) in Amsterdam

Behind closed doors and long corridors you'll find Amsterdam's hidden treasures. These are Amsterdam's "hofjes" or almshouses.

Come along to discover these special places for yourself. Our guide will tell you about how live was in these special places to live in the past and now. Enjoy the calm of the "hofjes" or almshouses in the hubbub of the city.

In the Jordaan area are some beautiful hofjes the naam Ansloohofje, Karthuizerhof  , and   Andrieshofje. We'll also see the canal belt where some of these pearls are hidden. Underway we'll visit a café where you can have a drink (drinks are at own expense). Duration 21/2 hours, including guide.
